Educational Qualification : M.A., B.Ed. , Ph.D. ( Socio- educational Psychology), Post Graduate certificate in Women’s studies ,  Recognized as a guide for Doctoral research ( Savitribai Phule Pune University) since October 2010.

Area of current work : 25 years of research experience. Completed 10+ major, 5+ minor projects as Principle Investigator ,Guiding five Ph. D. students in their doctoral research. Two students have completed Ph.D.

Current Educational Activity : Working as a Course Director for P.G. courses in School Psychology, Relationship management and Mental health, Rational Emotive Therapy.

Current Advocacy Activity : Leading the women’s wing of JnanaPrabodhini titled ‘Samvadini’ ( Harmony) with a motto ‘Self development for constructive social change’ which works for – empowering women for their rights, making adolescents aware of their sexuality and related responsibilities, helping socio economically disadvantaged children through non formal education and facilitating relationship enhancement through a family counseling cell.

Area of specialization : Area of specialization :Emotional intelligence, Social awareness, sexuality and gender studies, child and adolescent development, different dimensions of quality of life , educational psychology and positive mental health , psychology of relationships, rational emotive approach etc.

Publications : Publications :33 publications in peer reviewed journals at national and international level. 7 books published as author/ editor, Published 5 books on psychology. Participated in media as an expert in TV/ radio shows based on psychology and gender issues. More than 100 articles in magazines/ news supplements etc on psychology and gender issues. More than 20000 reads on Research Gate & more than 60 citations.

National Conferences/Seminars Attended : International: 6, National: 12 Presented plenary/ invited speeches, and chaired sessions in national conferences.

Special achievements/ Awards : Recipient of UGC Junior research fellowship 1994, recipient of Samaj Gourav Puraskar 2014, Keertan Sanjeevani Pushpalata Ranade, Rashtreey Mahila Sanshodhak Puraskar 2016 (National award for woman in Research).
